Established in January 2006 in Adelaide, South Australia, Riot City Wrestling (RCW) has grown into one of the country’s leading independent professional wrestling promotions. Known for its high energy events, RCW delivers a compelling mix of athleticism, storytelling, and live entertainment that continues to captivate audiences.

Beyond its standalone shows, RCW plays an active role in the community, collaborating with major local festivals and events to bring professional wrestling to wider audiences. In addition to its popular monthly events in Adelaide, RCW regularly features at major festivals including Adelaide Fringe, the Adelaide Sports and Fitness Expo, Supernova, and more. The promotion also tours regional South Australia, with standout appearances at events such as the Mount Gambier New Year’s Eve Festival, where RCW has performed in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans. Through these appearances, RCW has built strong relationships with organisations and fellow wrestling promotions across Australia, contributing to the ongoing growth and visibility of the industry nationwide.

RCW appeals to audiences of all ages, from young children to grandparents, with a particularly strong following among young adults and a balanced fanbase across genders. Its athletes are highly dedicated, training up to four times per week at the Riot City Wrestling Academy, focusing on conditioning, technique, and strength. Through established talent exchange networks with promotions across Australia, RCW wrestlers also gain valuable interstate experience, further elevating the standard of competition.
