“World Class” Chris Basso Returns to Face Grimm at Heavy is the Crown

Big Brodie Marshall dropped a complete bombshell at the Riot City Rumble, announcing that “World Class” Chris Basso will return to the ring at Heavy is the Crown on August 22 at the Dom Polski Centre.

His opponent?

His brother, Mat “Grimm” Basso.

The announcement sent shockwaves through Riot City Wrestling, with Chris Basso set to compete for the first time since being betrayed and attacked by The Old Guard at last year’s Heavy is the Crown.

That night in August marked the last time the RCW faithful saw Chris Basso. Now, one year later, he returns at the very event where everything changed.

Standing across from him will be Grimm, a member of The Old Guard alongside Dean Brady and Violet Blitz. Since aligning himself with the group, Grimm has become part of one of the most powerful and dangerous forces in Riot City Wrestling.

But nothing appears to be going Grimm’s way.

Since his loss to Mr. Cliff, Grimm has found himself on a losing streak, raising questions about his momentum heading into one of the most personal matches of his career.

At Heavy is the Crown, this becomes more than just a match.
