One year after their journeys inside the ring began on the very same night, Layla Paige and James Dalton will meet again — this time with the RCW Tag Team Championships on the line.
On October 3 at the Dom Polski Centre, Layla Paige and Cadie Tre will defend the RCW Tag Team Championships against REDSHAW and James Dalton at RCW Key to the City.
The championship match comes off the back of a celebration marking one year on the RCW roster for Layla Paige and James Dalton, with Co-General Manager Jimmy C signing off on a huge opportunity for Dalton and REDSHAW.
Their stories have been connected from the beginning.
Before stepping between the ropes as competitors, both Layla Paige and James Dalton entered Riot City Wrestling as Ring Announcers.
Then, on the same night, both made the transition from announcing the action to becoming part of it themselves.
Dalton's in-ring debut saw him fall short against KIT, while Paige began her career with a victory over Miki Fortune.
One year later, their paths cross again under very different circumstances.
Layla Paige now enters Key to the City as an RCW Tag Team Champion, having captured the first championship of her young career alongside the returning Cadie Tre at Heavy is the Crown.
Dalton enters with an opportunity to achieve the same milestone.
Alongside REDSHAW, Dalton has continued to build momentum in the RCW Tag Team Division, with the pair establishing themselves as a combination capable of making an impact.
Now comes their biggest opportunity yet.
For REDSHAW and Dalton, October 3 represents the chance to turn that momentum into championship gold.
For Paige and Tre, it is another test of a partnership that came together under extraordinary circumstances at Heavy is the Crown, when Cadie returned nine months after being fired from Riot City Wrestling to become Paige's mystery partner.
That night ended with Paige and Tre defeating C.B.T.M. and leaving the Dom Polski Centre as the new RCW Tag Team Champions.
Now, they return to the same building with those championships around their waists.
A year ago, Layla Paige and James Dalton were beginning their journeys as competitors in Riot City Wrestling.
One year later, one enters as champion and the other enters with the opportunity to become one.
