After establishing a decorated amateur career that saw him win two South Australian and two Australian National Wrestling Gold Medals, Cornell graduated from the RCW Academy in 2019.

Known early for his hard-hitting, technical, mat-based style, his rise was halted by a major injury in 2022 that sidelined him for over 3 years. Making his return in the 2025 Riot City Rumble, Cornell reinvented himself as Coach Cornell, vowing to whip the wrestling world into shape and boldly appointing himself as “The Head Coach of Australian Wrestling,” an authority figure the industry never asked for, but now can’t ignore.
